Hollywood claims they have one of the strongest marriages, yet is that enough to keep Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom together, despite all the negative media attention they’ve been experiencing recently? Is this claim even possible after a short two years of marriage? In Hollywood, where celebrities are slammed with reports, both true and false, this could very well be an accurate way to describe Khloe and Lamar’s marriage.
But just think of how stressful it would be to come across a rumor on one of the many social media sites out there (like Facebook) that the person you’re dating hasn’t been faithful to you. No matter what kind of trust you’ve built up with that person, just the possibility of the rumor is enough to push your partner down a step on the trust ladder. Which is exactly what Khloe and Lamar are facing after reports of an alleged affair having to do with Lamar.
On top of that, imagine you have some problem going on either internally or at home. Take Khloe, for example, having to deal with outside rumors while also struggling to get pregnant. And to add to everything, their lives are projected on televisions across America with their reality show (creatively named Khloe and Lamar), allowing for audiences to pick apart anything they see or hear while tuning in.
With social media sites allowing for people to post anonymous comments, and magazines constantly on the lookout for any story that will bait and hook readers, rumors are nothing new to the bright lights of Hollywood. However, should celebrities just expect to have to deal with this, especially when they make the decision to project their lives on television?
