Celebrities would not be famous without their fans.  But, we often hear stories about some fans being a little crazy and over the top with how much they love celebrities; We also hear stories about how some celebrities really do not recognize their fans as being important.  In either case, that is not the case with Demi Lovato and her fans.

Recently, Demi came out of a treatment center where she was dealing with some undisclosed personal issues.  Since being released, she has continually mentioned the importance of her supportive fans during her difficult time: “The journey that I went through and the support of my fans was so meaningful to me.”  She was so moved that she even got a tattoo of a heart on her wrist as a symbol of her love for her fans: “I wanted to thank my fans in a way that I know can never be forgotten.” Supposedly the heart on her wrist is similar to the hearts designed by many of her fans that were sent to her during her time in treatment.

Often times, its hard to tell whether celebrites are genuine with thier apprecation for fans.  But, I really do think Demi genuinely appreciates her fans.  And it is great to know that even though her fans do not know her personally, they can still be a positive source of encouragement for her during a time of struggle.

We can make a positive impact in the lives of others, even if we do not know them all that well.
