I’m on the right track, baby I was born this way. This line from the chorus sums up the entire song, and its great that it gets repeated so frequently in the song; its a message people need to hear. Many people are teased or treated differently because they are unique. Being different or special is nothing to be ashamed of. You should be proud of who you are. Throughout the song, Lady Gaga mentions everything from race, ethnicity, religious preference and sexual preference as being elements of a person that should always be accepted and celebrated.
